Community Fit is a local activity group based in Harrogate.

Our aim is to create a community of local people who meet to be social and active while giving time to Harrogate’s people and spaces.

We connect activity and community through regular group sessions during which people will run, walk or cycle together from one of our bases to a community group or charity where we help out before heading back to base. Helping out can be anything from sorting donations to moving furniture, painting, tree planting or litter picking.

You can read more about the Community Fit Project and meet some of our members and partners in our Project Report.

Get Active.

Each group meet up starts with a run to the organisation where we’re helping out - the runs are less than 2 miles and we keep a social pace that’s appropriate for all levels of runner - even those who are just getting started.

No one gets left behind.

Help Out.

Every Wednesday we have a new activity, helping out Harrogate-based charities and organisations.

We’ve done everything from tile cutting to support community art projects to litter picking in the Pinewoods to helping tidy community gardens.

Meet people.

Our group meets are social and supportive and quite a lot of fun! We also have an online community where we touch base, share successes, and keep chatting.

Community Fit is a chance to meet new folks in your local area, build friendships, and spend some time in the great outdoors of Harrogate!
